You know it’s hard to imagine that Celadon could look any prettier than it usually does, but during the Christmas Holiday season, magic happens.

The neighborhood homes all twinkle and glow with colorful lights, and their front porches are decked with evergreen wreaths and garlands. Shimmering Christmas trees sparkle in the windows.

The air is fragrant with the aromas of turkeys and hams roasting, gingerbread baking, and apple cider simmering. Out come the treasured Christmas sugar cookie recipes and that old syrup-splattered one for Aunt Ann’s pecan pie.

Hanging up stockings, exchanging gifts, and welcoming old Santa Claus with a plate of homemade cookies and a glass of milk is plain good fun. But do you know what the best part of a Lowcountry Christmas is?

It’s us!

Nothing compares to the friendliness, warmth, and hospitality of a community of big-hearted Lowcountry Southerners.

Whether we’re sharing a neighborly cup of hot chocolate (or a drop of bourbon), friends and family are at the heart of the holidays. And in Celadon, friends are all around us.

Finding and enjoying a sense of community is the reason so many people have chosen a home here. Our close proximity to Beaufort, America’s happiest seaside town, just makes the whole experience even better.

Why not gather up your children, family, and friends and take them to enjoy some of these Beaufort events? We’ve included some of the main celebrations, but there’s also caroling, feasting, shopping, and church happenings.
