Preferred Builder Program


Celadon’s preferred builder program was created to simplify the building process. Finding the perfect homesite is easy, and we want the rest of your home building experience to be just as simple and hassle free.

Our builder partners were hand selected by Celadon’s development team after a strenuous interview process and multiple site visits to personally inspect the quality of their work. Both companies are known for their excellent reputations in Beaufort and have been building in the marketplace for a combined 28 years. As a future Celadon resident, you have the ability to work with our preferred builders in one of three ways:

  • You can purchase one of their new construction, move-in ready homes.
  • You can choose your homesite and one of our pre-approved home plans and let them do the rest.
  • Or our preferred builders can build a custom home of your design. Their familiarity with Celadon’s architectural standards will be an added benefit as you take your dream home through the design review process.

You are not required to work with one of our preferred builders, but they have been through a lengthy vetting process and come highly recommended.

Artisan custom homes

The ultimate goal of Artisan Custom Homes is to deliver each client a quality home at a competitive price. President Henry Vala has been in construction for twenty-eight years, with a specific focus on the Lowcountry for the past decade, and has a well-deserved reputation of excellence. In the local market, these homes have been in high demand in Celadon, Habersham, and Palmetto Bluff communities.

Expect excellence from an Obsidian turnkey, semi-custom home or home and homesite construction package. They pride themselves on working only with proven developers on unique projects in strong markets, so your home will be planned for your lifestyle, but will remain in high demand in future markets.

For an Obsidian home and homesite pre-sale package, just select your ideal floor plan from your developer’s portfolio, or Obsidian’s, then choose from the available structural changes and finish selections to customize your home to suit your lifestyle. These options are all previously reviewed by the developers, so your home will be tailored to your preferences while remaining within community design guidelines.  After you choose your preferred homesite, the Obsidian team can even provide you with construction financing for your home closing.
